Lab mix heads straight to Dollar General’s toy aisle to grab his favorite plush mythical animal.

This was such a cute story, I just had to share. In Kenansville, North Carolina, animal control was called in to the local Dollar General store after a stray dog kept darting to the toy aisle to grab a stuffed purple unicorn. Workers at Dollar General told animal control they caught the pooch making a beeline into the store every time a customer left. Each time the canine entered, he went straight to the same plush toy to snatch it. The workers finally had to lock the doors and call animal control.

Officer Samantha Lane answered the call and arrived at the scene. She loved the story so much that she decided to buy the $10 toy for the dog. The pooch was so excited to have his stuffed unicorn that he didn’t mind going with Officer Lane to Duplin County Animal Services.

Once the the dog entered the shelter, the staff named him Sisu, a cartoon dragon from Disney's new film, Raya and the Last Dragon.

Duplin County Animal Services quickly scheduled a photo shoot for Sisu and posted a Facebook post about his adventure. The dog was described as a sassy 1 year old, 67.1 lbs and very obedient with people. Sisu was super sweet and it wasn’t long before the shelter announced that Sisu was adopted, adding that they are accepting unicorns if anyone wants to send them one.

I just love happy ending, and I’m so happy Sisu found a home. And before Ricky starts complaining, I better go to Dollar General asap and buy him a stuffed unicorn toy, haha!
