St. Patrick’s Day Fun With Your Dog
Erin Go Bragh! It’s St. Pawtrick’s Day, so get a shamrock shake and celebrate with your dog.
I just love holidays. Maybe I’m just a big kid at heart, but I always like to celebrate with foods and clothes made for the special day. Now that I have Ricky, I love to enjoy the holidays with him. It may not be Thanksgiving or Christmas, but St. Patrick’s Day is still a great event: the shamrocks, the shepherd’s pie, the Irish music and of course the beer!
I was excited to see a few pet stores in Nashville holding St. Pawtrick’s Day events (practicing COVID-19 safety measures of course), so I decided to check them out. Let the festivities begin!
I had never been to Mutts + Meows before, so I was excited to see what they would do for the holiday. I heard about their shamrock shakes, so I definitely wanted to grab one for Ricky. When I arrived, I have to say that I was very impressed with their set up. As soon as you entered the shop, Mutts + Meows had a selfie station where you could take a pic with your pooch. Now you could have the perfect Instagram photo for all your friends to see.
Right across from the selfie station were their St. Pawtrick’s Day products, complete with dog treats, toys and bandanas. They had so many items themed for the holiday, which was really cool to see.
Mutts + Meows also had a bunch of St. Pawtrick’s Day collars. Who knew they had so many to choose from?
Now I wanted to get one of those shamrock shakes for Ricky. As I walked toward the back of the store, I discovered not only the shakes, but also some Irish stew! Ricky will be in heaven.
After enjoying my afternoon, it was time to say goodbye with some delicious treats for Ricky in hand. Thanks for a great event Mutts + Meows!
The next St. Pawtrick’s Day celebration to visit was at Pet Wants. Their event was later in the day, and would include a photo station, holiday cookies and green beer! Yes! Let the festivities continue.
Pet Wants had an awesome photo station, filled with shamrocks, Ireland flags and other St. Patrick’s Day decorations. The area was nice, comfortable and the dogs just loved it.
The shop was filled with dogs, and they were all having so much fun playing. I was in heaven.
Pet Wants also had some great products, like green NASH bandanas. These were perfect for the special day.
Of course there were St. Pawtrick’s Day treats on hand. I’ll take a green beer and rainbow cookie for Ricky please.
After playing with the dogs, it was time to relax and indulge in a nice, cold green beer. Ahhh!
It started getting late, so it was time to call it a day. Thank you Pet Wants for the fun St. Pawtrick’s Day event, filled with laughs and lots of dog love. What better way to spend a holiday, right?
